I used to sew constantly when I was younger, but took it up again when the pandemic began. After making 1500 masks, I needed something else to do. Quilting had always been interesting, so I began experimenting. As is my way, I never just follow a set pattern. I wanted to create my own, and dove right in.
Most of my designs are inspired by geometry, fractals, and other sequences. I’ve been gradually moving away from the literal copying of the geometry as my skills have grown, and moving more toward works that are more inspired by them.
